These also accept 4mm banana plugs, should you wish to use them. This plate is ideal for connecting hi-fi speakers to an amplifier or surround sound speakers to an AV receiver. Available in a large range of decorative finishes, and custom orders are welcome. The speaker posts are set on a single gang plate and are the same on the back as on the front. This plate will fit any standard UK architrave back box and come complete with a pair of screws. All speaker connectors on metal plates are insulated using black nylon bushes. Speaker plates are a great way of providing a professional connection between the AV receiver and speakers when the cabling is permanently installed within the walls. They provide a dedicated point of connection, making future upgrades of the speakers or home cinema AV receiver easy.
