Description The Residual Chlorine Dioxide test strip detects levels from 0-10ppm in increments of 0.25, 0.5, 1, 3, 5, and 10ppm (mg/l). Chlorine Dioxide is one of several oxides of chlorine, it is a potent and useful oxidising agent used in water treatment (disinfection) and in bleaching (it is mostly used for pulp bleaching in paper production). It is highly water soluble, especially in cold water. Chlorine dioxide has a higher oxidation capacity than chlorine or ozone, which means lower concentrations of chlorine dioxide can be used to achieve effective disinfection. It can also be used when large amounts of organic matter are present. Compare colour change of test paper with fields of equal size on colour chart provided on plastic box.
